Back in the saddle

The november weigh in was on track, but the December one again puts me over the 2 pound cushion (134.2, to be precise). Yep, it probably would have been fine if I'd taken off my hoodie, but really, that's a cop out. I'm coasting at 2 pounds over goal, and Christmas (and bowls of M&M's at my parents'!) is less than 2 weeks away. I'm still not a gym member. I've been keeping a jar of nuts and miscellaneous chocolate at my desk. Work has been stressful, so I've been stress eating. The cards have been stacked against me.

I've decided I need to go back to a foolproof environment; because I've been darned foolish. Plenty of Lean Cuisines, plenty of fruit and veg. I'm sitting here with a cup of washed sugar snap peas. What a yummy post-lunch snack! At the grocery store this morning, instead of buying Pop Tarts or pudding cups, I grabbed a tub of fat free pineapple cottage cheese. I like it, it fills that sweet niche, but it's not something I'm likely to eat all in one sitting.

Here's to holding the line, and working up some enthusiasm of exercising through the holidays. I'm not planning to lose that 0.2, I'm just hoping it doesn't find some friends. After the new year, we can get serious about the other 2 pounds.
