A hearty AMEN!

"I don't ever again want to be the woman who stays up until 3:00 in the morning in a blind panic, jogging in place in front of the television because she ate a piece of cake." source, and author.

Hell yeah, there's more to life than worrying about your dress size.

Happy Anniversary to me!

Two years at my current, lower weight.

Go Me!

Winter is coming

And it's bringing out the piles of baked goods at the office. Which is not helping my effort to whittle off a pound or two before the holidays hit full force. I was hoping for some breathing room, but that might take the form of larger pants. *sigh*

Really, it's not going too badly, it's just more difficult. Just gotta keep chugging along.

Well, I'm better than average

"Most dieters regain about a third of the weight lost during the next year and are typically back to baseline [their pre-diet weight] in 3 to 5 years," write Rena Wing, PhD, and colleagues.

The article continues on to explain that those who go to weekly meetings keep more off. I'm still at goal weight (a loss of 20% of initial body weight), but my motivation waxes and wanes. Father forgive me, for I have sinned. It has been 6 weeks since my last Weight Watchers meeting.

This is yet another reason to get myself back there.
